Meeting Oprah was something my sisters and I used to wish for — something we’d say during the toughest times: “One day, we’ll be on Oprah,” half-joking, half-wishing, and always dreaming.
And then, one day last year — it happened.
Just days before opening Happy on Main, I had the honor of speaking with Oprah and her guest Jürgen Ingels on The Oprah Podcast. What began as a chance to share my story and ask a question became a powerful conversation far beyond entrepreneurship — one about courage, survivorship, and the importance of knowing and honoring your value.
